Villa Beluno
Patagonian Lake District | South America
Pros
- Fishing straight from the lodge on the famous Futaleufu River
- One of only two regions in Argentina where you can fish wild landlocked salmon
- All of the rooms have river riews
- Delicious homecooked meals using almost entirely homegrown and locally sourced ingredients
- Some of the best fishing guides in Patagonia with an intimate knowledge of the different waters built up over decades of experience
- A true family run business you will get to know the owners very well who are involved in all aspects of the running of the lodge and keen fishers themselves
Cons
- While the location is beautiful and there are many other activities on offer, be aware that the main focus of the lodge is fly fishing
- The local airport, Esquel, has only one flight a day to Buenos Aires. The other option is Bariloche which is around a five-hour drive from the lodge
