· Great location, centrally positioned on San Francisco Square, a short stroll from many of Quito’s best restaurants and museums

· Every evening, the hotel offers free of charge exclusive “Quito Experiences” that range from chocolate tastings and cooking classes to after-hours tours of a local gallery or informative history lectures.

· We love the high tea (or cafecito) served in the grand Art Deco conservatory. Be sure to try their aromatic hot chocolate, made to their own secret recipe with organic Ecuadorean cocoa beans.

· This is a small property with a boutique feel. The staff and concierges are incredibly helpful and friendly, but don’t expect facilities like a gym, spa, or swimming pool. That said, in a short stay, you don’t miss it, and the location more than makes up for it.

· With only 31 rooms the property is often fully booked several months in advance, especially for high season dates.

· The restaurant is one of the best in Quito and very popular with local foodies. So, even as a guest, it is worth booking a table in advance.
